Litter and waste reduction
We encourage everyone to help prevent litter in our City. We run waste reduction activities through the year.
Our Green Guide is a comprehensive household waste reduction handbook for residents in the City of Thunder Bay. The guide offers information about the City's landfill and recycling programs, "green" community groups, and what to do with hazardous waste and electronic waste. Our Green Guide also includes and A-to-Z listing of items and their safe disposal/donation options. New edition coming soon. For quick answers, try the Waste Wizard tool above!
