Call for Artists and Community Groups for Summer Events

April 19, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay is inviting artists, artisans and community groups to participate in summer events.
Community group booth opportunities include all city produced events. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees:
- Canada Day - Friday evening, July 1 - approx. 20,000 attendees
- Live on the Waterfront (Summer in the Parks) - Wednesdays from July 6 to August 24 - approx. 3,000 attendees per week

April 15, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay has made improvements to its water and wastewater systems through a Showcasing Water Innovation (SWI) grant from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change.

Dates Revised for Spring Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Collection

April 12, 2016 - Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Collection dates for spring 2016 have been pushed forward several weeks due to continuing cold weather and recent snowfalls.
Leaf and yard waste collection, previously scheduled for early May, will now take place between May 17 and May 27, on the regular recycling day indicated in residents' 2016 Garbage & Recycling Collection Schedules.
