The City of Thunder Bay is thrilled to announce the launch of Phase 2 of the Reimagine Victoriaville project, a transformative initiative to foster growth, enhance community spaces, and revitalize downtown Fort William.

The ambitious project includes the removal of Victoriaville Mall and renovations to the Victoriaville Civic Centre, Court Services, and private buildings within the mall, as well as the reopening of Victoria Avenue to vehicular traffic from Archibald Street to Brodie Street....

A delegation including Mayor Ken Boshcoff, Councillor Kristen Oliver, Chair – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Councillor Kasey Etreni, Member – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Dominic Pasqualino, Member – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and City Manager John Collin attended the 2025 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference in Toronto from January 19 to 21.

Extra item of garbage allowed after New Year’s Day

With the increase in waste that is generated during the holiday season, the City will allow residents to put out a third item of garbage with no tag on the first collection date after New Year’s Day.
