Two individuals and four community projects received recognition tonight during the 13th Annual Mayor’s Community Safety Awards, for their outstanding work in the community.

Fall curbside collection of organic leaf and yard waste will begin next week. Collection will take place between October 24 and November 3, on your regular recycling days.

Canada Games Complex to re-open October 18

The Canada Games Complex will re-open to the public on October 18, after a four-and-a-half-month closure for renovations and upgrades.

The Complex was closed in early June, so work to improve energy efficiency and accessibility could be undertaken. The accessibility work done during the closure includes upgrades to changerooms, upgraded showers, the addition of a universal barrier-free changeroom and new accessible washrooms.
