The Public Notice Period has ended for municipal and public response to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) on the proposed cannabis retail store (TOKYO SMOKE: 1082 Memorial Avenue).
The City of Thunder Bay has provided a response to the AGCO based on the Council approved Siting of Cannabis Retail Stores Corporate Policy.

Mayor Bill Mauro is pleased to announce that the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario’s New Year’s Levee will take place in Thunder Bay. The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell will host the Levee on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at the O’Kelly, VC Armoury, 317 Park Ave.

Public Invited to Open House for Thunder Bay Police Facility Review

As part of the Thunder Bay Police Facility Review, a public open house will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 4 – 7 pm, in City Hall Lobby, 500 Donald St. E. Information will be presented through opening remarks and visual displays, and citizens will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide their input. Male Students Attend Training on Gender-based Violence

Nearly 50 grade seven to 10 male students from Lakehead Public Schools throughout the city are attending the Engaging Male Students to Reduce and Prevent Gender-Based Violence workshop today aimed at preventing gender-based violence against women and girls.
