Calling all teddy bears and their owners for the 37th annual Teddy Bears Picnic taking place Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Parents, caretakers, children and their teddy bears are invited to Vickers Park for an afternoon of free crafts, activities and entertainment. PRO Kids’ Training with a Pro: The Hockey Edition is back for its fourth year. On Aug. 14, from 6 – 8 pm, children and youth ages 5 – 13 have the chance to meet, exercise and train with their professional hockey idols.
This year’s clinic will feature local pro, Carter Hutton of the Buffalo Sabres.

The City of Thunder Bay is working to create a concept plan that will help guide the future development of Northwood Playfield, including the possible installation of a splash pad.

The 70th Anniversary of Chapples Golf Course will be celebrated this July with a commemorative event.
The City is looking for citizens to share their memories of the course through photographs. Photos from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s would be a welcome addition to upcoming 70 year celebration.
