City Launches Online Job Applications

April 6, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay launched a user-friendly, accessible, mobile-friendly job posting and applicant process today at the Brodie Resource Library.

Waste Collection Changes for Easter

April 5, 2017 - The upcoming Easter holiday will result in changes to waste collection city-wide.

Garbage and recycling collection moves one day earlier during the week of April 9, for all residents. There is no collection on Good Friday.

Residents are asked to check their waste collection calendar, or visit thunderbay.ca/recycling for more information.

City Employees Recognized as Leaders in Recreation Field

April 3, 2017 - Kimberly Baskin has been awarded the 2017 Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) Award of Excellence in the Emerging Leader category. She was presented the award at a ceremony in Huntsville on Thursday, March 30. Kim is the Program Supervisor - Children & Youth, with the City of Thunder Bay's Recreation & Culture Division. Community Organizations Collaborate on Actions Against Racism

April 3, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay's Anti-Racism & Respect Advisory Committee hosted its first Roundtable Against Racism today at Ka-Na-Chi-Hih.

The Roundtable Against Racism brought together about 40 community-based organizations that are united in action against racism and work to promote equity, diversity, and respect in the community.

The purpose of the Roundtable is to share information, research and best practices on related work, and to provide a forum for stakeholder engagement.

March 31, 2017 -Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, Tbaytel and the Lakehead University Thunderwolves Hockey Team have again joined forces to promote fire safety with the creation of fire safety hockey cards featuring this year's Thunderwolves team.
