The City of Thunder Bay invites everyone to embrace the winter season with the return of SnowDay on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, this Family Day – Monday, Feb. 17, at Marina Park. Attendees can participate in a variety of fun and free activities, including voting for this year’s favourite snow sculptures. Everyone is welcome!

Reimagine Victoriaville: A Vision for Growth and Vibrancy in Downtown Fort William

The City of Thunder Bay is thrilled to announce the launch of Phase 2 of the Reimagine Victoriaville project, a transformative initiative to foster growth, enhance community spaces, and revitalize downtown Fort William.

The ambitious project includes the removal of Victoriaville Mall and renovations to the Victoriaville Civic Centre, Court Services, and private buildings within the mall, as well as the reopening of Victoria Avenue to vehicular traffic from Archibald Street to Brodie Street....

A delegation including Mayor Ken Boshcoff, Councillor Kristen Oliver, Chair – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Councillor Kasey Etreni, Member – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Dominic Pasqualino, Member – Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and City Manager John Collin attended the 2025 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference in Toronto from January 19 to 21.

They brought community issues and key priorities to lobby for action and/or funding.
