September 30, 2016 - The Thunder Bay & District Entrepreneur Centre's second annual Small Business Showcase is taking place on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 12 - 5 pm at the Intercity Shopping Centre. June 29, 2016 - The third annual Summer Company-Staples Youth Entrepreneurship Day took place this afternoon at Staples Thunder Bay. Mayor Hobbs Declares June 4 Mining Day

June 2, 2016 - Thunder Bay will celebrate its rich mining heritage on June 4, which has been declared Mining Day by Acting Mayor Joe Virdiramo.
Councilor Virdiramo made the declaration at a ceremony today at Mariner's Hall at Prince Arthur's Landing. He was joined by representatives from the City of Thunder Bay, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, and Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association.
