Last evening, at an awards ceremony held at the Legislative Building, Queen’s Park in Toronto, the Courthouse Hotel received a Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Excellence in Conservation presented by The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

Delivery of Water Pitchers and Filters for Customers with Lead Service Pipes

As the City of Thunder Bay makes changes to the drinking water, lead levels at the tap for customers with lead service pipes are expected to rise. Customers with lead service pipes will be provided a free water pitcher with filters that are certified to remove lead.

Following a report from City Administration that was presented in closed session lastnight, City Council has, subject to ratification, approved the sale of a Hardisty Street property to a private business.
