The 2018 Mayor’s Mulligan Golf Tournament announced today that $13,370 was raised during this year’s event in support of PRO Kids. This bringing the total raised in the past 14 years to over $193,000 for charitable organizations. Voter Instruction Letters Sent to Eligible Thunder Bay Electors

September 26, 2018 – Voter Instruction Letters (VILs) have begun arriving by mail to eligible Thunder Bay electors currently on the voters’ list for the upcoming 2018 Municipal & School Board Election. 

VILs contain important information on how, when and where to vote, and will be required along with identification to cast a ballot online, by telephone and at the polling station.

September 25, 2018 – The Thunder Bay Crime Prevention Council is calling for nominations for the Eighth Annual Mayor’s Community Safety Awards, which recognize Thunder Bay residents and groups who are working to make our city safer.

Nominations officially open today, and the deadline for submissions is Oct. 5 at 4:30 pm.

The awards will be presented during a special ceremony that will take place during the Nov. 5 meeting of Thunder Bay City Council.

Members of the Working Group for Seven Youth Inquest Recommendation 115 (Watercourse and River Safety Audits) will welcome over 200 Indigenous youth to take part in cultural teachings related to water, a sunrise ceremony, a sacred fire, a round dance, the Matawa Drum, a barbecue and more.
