Section of Fairview Avenue to Close Oct. 7 and 8 for Railway Work

Fairview Avenue, between Arthur Street and Sandpiper Drive, will be closed on Oct. 7 from 9 am to 3 pm, and Oct. 8 from 9 am to 12 pm, to facilitate railway work. There will be access for local traffic only.
A detour will be set up to direct motorists to use 20th Side Road and Trotter Road.
Motorists are asked to obey posted signage and drive with caution.

Reactivated Traffic Signals at Red River Road and Pine Street

Reconstructed traffic signals at Red River Road and Pine Street will be activated on Wednesday, Oct. 7, weather permitting. The stop sign on Pine Street will be removed.
The reconstructed signals feature camera detection of vehicles waiting to turn left from Pine Street onto Red River Road. The signals will rest on green for Red River Road traffic unless a vehicle is detected waiting on Pine Street. Push-button pedestrian signals are installed for pedestrians to cross Pine Street and Red River Road....

The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) would like to congratulate the successful Summer Company students who started and managed their own small business this past summer. Harbour Expressway at Balmoral Street Closed October 5

On Monday, Oct. 5, the intersection of Harbour Expressway and Balmoral Street will be closed to allow for line painting. Motor traffic will be diverted down the right-turn off-ramps.
Motorists are asked to plan an alternate route and to drive with caution in the area.

Pacific Avenue Overpass at Simpson Street to Temporarily Close

A section of Simpson Street from Northern Avenue to Pacific Avenue, including the Pacific Avenue Overpass, will be closed Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6 for top lift paving.
