COVID-19: Reduced Access to Victoriaville Centre & McKellar Mall

Effective immediately, the City’s Realty Services has implemented changes to the operations of Victoriaville Centre and McKellar Mall to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

As per the Ontario Government’s Emergency Declaration to stop the spread of COVID-19, and as per recommendations from the Ontario Association of Cemetery and Funeral Professionals, the Mountain View Cemetery and the St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be closed to the general public starting on Monday, April 20, until further notice.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent social distancing policies, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue would like to communicate to the public the adjustments in which we will be operating.

COVID-19: Only Critical Construction Projects to Continue

Following the announcement from the Ontario government that the list of businesses classified as essential will be reduced further, the City’s Development & Emergency Services Department will only be performing inspections on essential construction projects listed in the Emergency Order below.
For now, permit applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed so the City is able to facilitate construction once the orders are lifted.
