Northbound Traffic on Memorial Avenue to Close

A section of Memorial Avenue, between Second Avenue and High Street, will be closed to northbound traffic starting on Friday, Oct. 26. The closure is necessary for watermain rehabilitation work taking place at the Memorial Avenue and First Avenue intersection. Work is expected to be complete by end of the day on Friday, Nov. 2.
Northbound traffic is to follow the posted detour route, which will be Central Avenue, Fort William Road, and John Street. Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Potential Delays on City Water Bills Due to Canada Post Strike

Resident water bills are being mailed out as usual by the City of Thunder Bay’s Revenue Division. The rotating Canada Post strikes may however, cause some delays. Customers who are expecting a water bill and have not received it by the end of October should contact the Revenue Division at 625-2255 for billing amounts and payment due dates.
Citizens are encouraged to minimize the impact of postal disruptions by making use of the City’s online water meter reading and reminder service at www.thunderbay.ca/remindme....
Intersection at Vickers and Victoria Closed for Water Repairs

Starting today, the intersection of Vickers Street North and Victoria Avenue East is closed to all motor vehicle traffic due to water infrastructure repairs. Work is expected to be complete before end of day on Thursday, Oct. 25.
