Free Compost Available to Residents Starting Today

May 14, 2018 - Compost is available to all residents at no charge at the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility while quantities last, weather permitting.

Access to the compost pick-up area is located east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Temporary Closure of Boulevard Dam Pedestrian Walkway

May 14, 2018 - The pedestrian walkway, across the top of the Boulevard Lake Dam will be closed on Wednesday, May 16, from 8 am - 6 pm, or until work is complete.

The purpose of the closure is to do repairs to the deck top of the walkway.  

Signs will be posted indicating that the walking route is closed while the repairs are underway.

Section of High St. and Cornwall Ave. to Close Week of May 21

May 10, 2018 - The road closure on High Street South between John Street and Bay Street, and Cornwall Avenue above High Street South, originally scheduled to close on May 14, has been postponed a week and will now close starting the week of May 21. 

The purpose of the closure is to finish the work on the High Street Retaining Wall. The work is expected to take up to six weeks.

Street access is allowed for local traffic only. Detour signs will be posted.

Section of William Street to Close for Road Resurfacing Work

May 9, 2018 - A section of William Street, from Golf Links Road to Barton Street, will be closed to all through traffic starting on Thursday, May 10 to allow for asphalt resurfacing work. 

The closure is expected to last up to two weeks. 

The construction schedule is subject to change as various factors, such as weather, can have an impact on project timelines.
