Water Service Restored in Mount Forest Blvd Area

Water service to Mount Forest Blvd area has now been restored, after water service work in the area necessitated a shutdown of the water main feeding all services north of Hwy 61 west of Mount Forest Blvd, and west of and including Mountain Rd.
Residents in the area may notice discolouration of the water from their taps. If discolouration is present, residents are advised to complete the following steps:

The City of Thunder Bay Archives is excited to announce a new online tool to make searches of their collection even easier. Their new public search portal now allows anyone to search “finding aids” (the titles and descriptions of historical records) online. The Thunder Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking and Community Safety & Well-Being Thunder Bay will host a free Human Trafficking Information Session for parents and caregivers today, Feb. 22, to mark the annual National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

Outdoor Skating Rinks Reopen

The recent cold weather has allowed crews to restore the ice surfaces at the City’s outdoor rinks. Rinks will reopen on Friday, Feb. 17.
“As soon as the temperatures dropped our crews started working to repair the ice surfaces,” said Cory Halvorsen, Manager of Parks & Open Spaces. “We are happy that the weather cooperated and that we were able to get the rinks open again for people to enjoy on the long weekend.”
