Construction at James and Victoria to Limit Through Traffic

The storm sewer work taking place on James Street is expanding to include the intersection at Victoria Avenue which will impact through traffic. Those travelling on Victoria Avenue will not be able to cross through or turn at James Street. Road closure signage will be posted.
The expansion is expected to start on Saturday, Oct. 5, and will take approximately three weeks to complete. The construction schedule is subject to change as various factors, such as weather, can have an impact on project timelines.

Dawson Road Pavement Resurfacing to Limit Access to Businesses

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, asphalt pavement resurfacing of Dawson Road between Strand Avenue and Fassina Street will result in limited access to the County Fair Mall and businesses in the area. The intersection of Strand Avenue and East Avenue will be closed at times during the day to accommodate the construction work.
One point of access at Strand Avenue or East Avenue will remain open throughout the construction.

Healthy Neighbourhood Harvests Bring Neighbours Together

EarthCare Thunder Bay in collaboration with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is bringing neighbours together this weekend at two Healthy Neighbourhood Harvest events.
The first Healthy Neighbourhood Harvest event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1 – 4 pm, at County Park. The second event takes place Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1 – 4 pm, at Franklin Street Park, near the splash pad.
