Leaf & Yard Waste Collection October 29 – November 8

The City of Thunder Bay’s fall curbside collection of organic leaf and yard waste will take place from October 29 – November 8, on resident’s regular recycling days.

Homeowners must use Kraft (paper bags) for leaf and yard waste. Kraft bags are available at most hardware and grocery stores. Regular bag weight limits of 18 kg/40 lbs or less apply.

Dawson Road Final Pavement Resurfacing Scheduled Next Week

The final lift of asphalt pavement resurfacing of Dawson Road, between Strand Avenue and Fassina Street, is scheduled to start early next week. This will result in limited access to the County Fair Mall and area businesses, as well as temporary closures of side streets.

Construction will begin on Sunday, Oct. 20, and is anticipated to last two days. The construction schedule is subject to change as various factors, such as weather, can have an impact on project timelines.
