Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week 2017

November 1, 2017 - Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week starts today and runs until Nov. 7. Ontario Law requires carbon monoxide (CO) alarms to be installed outside of all sleeping areas in homes and other residential buildings that have any of the following:
"¢ a fuel fired appliance
"¢ a fireplace, or
"¢ an attached garage

Intersection of Algoma Street and Egan Street to Close

October 30, 2017 - The intersection of Algoma Street and Egan Street will be closed to traffic due to storm sewer work.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 9 am, and is expected to be complete by end of day Thursday, Nov. 2.
The intersection will be closed to through traffic, however alternate routes are available. Motorists are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage when travelling near the construction area.

October 27, 2016 - It started as a community prayer and unity walk on June 1, 2017, to honour the memory of all the youths that passed. Section of Memorial Avenue to Close for Railway Repairs

October 27, 2017 - A section of Memorial Avenue, from the Harbour Expressway to Isabel Street, will be closed to through traffic starting on Monday, Oct. 30. The closure is due to the rehabilitation of the CN Rail Crossing which involves new concrete panels and resurfacing the road.
Traffic will be detoured to Fort William Road between Harbour Expressway and Isabel Street, for the duration of the work. Detour signs will be posted.
There will still be access to businesses within the closure limits....
