St. Jude School Helps Kick-Off Fire Prevention Week

October 10, 2017 "” Thunder Bay Fire Rescue kicked-off Fire Prevention Week at St. Jude Elementary School today. Grade 4 students at St. Jude educated a gymnasium full of classmates, teachers, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue personnel and Mayor Keith Hobbs on the importance of working smoke alarms and home fire safety. 

Fire Prevention Week runs from Oct. 8 - 14, and this year's theme is "Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!"

October 5, 2017 - Following an extensive search and hiring process, City Manager Norm Gale is pleased to announce Patty Robinet as the new City Solicitor.

Ms. Robinet, formerly the Deputy City Solicitor, has been working for the City since 2010. She received her law degree from the University of Windsor. After articling with the City of Windsor, and successful completion of her bar admissions exams, she was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2005.

City Hosts Corrosion Control Plan Public Information Session

October 4, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is hosting a Public Information Session on its Corrosion Control Plan tonight from 4 - 7 pm at the Slovak Legion.

October 4, 2017 - A section of Paquette Road and Toms Road will be closed to through traffic on Thursday, Oct. 5 due to cross-culvert repairs.
