West Lyon Boulevard Closed to Vehicular Traffic on Weekends

Back by popular demand, weekend closures of West Lyon Boulevard return this summer, providing cyclists and pedestrians with more space to enjoy. Effective immediately, road closure signage and barricades will be in place every weekend from Friday at 4 pm to Monday at 8 am to prevent vehicular traffic from entering the roadway.

A report from the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) and City Administration will be presented to City Council on June 7 that will recommend expanding the Eye on the Street program, including installing new cameras in strategic locations, upgrading the hardware and network, and increasing the number and locations of cameras.
