Accessibility Advisory Committee Invites Input into Virtual Open House

The City of Thunder Bay’s Accessibility Advisory Committee is pleased to announce they will be hosting a virtual open house in the fall of 2021. The virtual open house will consist of five to six videos that will be available on the City website and City YouTube channel.

Free Compost Now Available to Residents

Weather permitting, compost is now available to all residents at no charge at the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility while quantities last.

Access to the compost pick-up area is on John Street Rd, between Mapleward Rd and Gratton Rd. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am – 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 8 am – 3:30 pm.

City Launching New Online Program Registration

The City of Thunder Bay’s Central Support Division is launching a new online registration system today for recreation programs and facilities.

Residents will be able to create their own accounts to easily search, register and pay for upcoming programs and memberships online.
