Road Construction on Donald Street Starts Next Week

Road construction and sewer & water work on Donald Street, from Vickers Street to May Street, is scheduled to start on Monday, June 10, and will take place in two phases.

Residents Encouraged to Share Input in Online Budget Survey

Following last night’s Public Open House that gathered input on the City’s 2019-2022 Corporate Strategic Plan and 2020 City Budget, residents are being given another opportunity to share their input into next year’s City budget through an online survey.
Available until June 19, the survey asks residents to identify their budget priorities – what areas they would propose spending less or more budget, and what City programs, projects and services are important to them.

39th Annual Kite Festival Celebrates Flight at Chippewa Park

The City of Thunder Bay is proud to announce the 39th Annual Kite Festival, presented by Ontario Power Generation. This annual celebration of flight is back at Chippewa Park this Sunday, June 9, from 12 pm – 4 pm. Families are invited to fly their own kites, watch the Pro Fliers take over the sky with Giant Kites, and learn about different forms of flight.
Event admission is FREE, and rides, food concessions, and bouncy castles will be on site with applicable fees.
