City Resident Found Guilty Of Illegal Outdoor Burning

A Summerhill Drive resident was found guilty of illegal outdoor burning earlier this month in Provincial Offences Court and was fined $360. The charge stems from a June 2018 incident.

“Any outside burning within the City of Thunder Bay requires an annual permit,” said Division Chief Eric Nordland. “Permit rules and regulations are strictly enforced.”

Traffic Study Taking Place at Proposed Roundabout Location

The City’s Engineering Division will be undertaking a traffic study in the area of the proposed roundabout on Victoria Avenue. Phase Two of Main Street Bridge Construction to Begin in March

Phase two of the Main Street Bridge rehabilitation will commence on Monday, March 4.

The Main Street Bridge, located between Isabel Street and Hammond Avenue, is undergoing rehabilitation to improve and repair key elements of the structure in order to increase its lifespan and provide a reliable and safe means of transportation for years to come.
