Proposed 2019 City Budget Released

The proposed 2019 Municipal Budget forms the starting point for City Council’s detailed review and provides an increase in the municipal tax levy after growth of $5.6 million or 2.95%.

Training with a Pro: The Football Edition returns on Saturday, Dec. 22, to the Goal Sports Centre. The program offers a dry-land training clinic, where youth between the ages of 5 and 13 are given the opportunity to train with a local professional football player, all in support of PRO Kids.

Christmas Tree Drop-off Sites Open Boxing Day

The City will once again recycle natural trees this holiday season, grinding the trees into wood chips to be added to the compost pile at the City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Facility. Compost is given away each spring to beautify residents' lawns and flower gardens.
“One of the good things about getting a natural Christmas tree is it’s recyclable,” said Jason Sherband, Manager – Solid Waste & Recycling Services. “The City’s nine tree drop-off sites open on Boxing Day.”
