Public Post-Budget Consultation Set for Feb. 4

During budget deliberations, City Council approved reinstating the post-budget consultation meeting to receive feedback from members of the public prior to budget ratification.

Those interested in speaking to City Council on the proposed budget can come forward on Monday, Feb. 4 to sign-up. The City of Thunder Bay is inviting performing artists to apply to participate in the City’s annual summer events series. 

Various participation opportunities include over 15 event days, with two major single-day events and two event series. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees. Annual summer events include:

A McBain Street landlord has been ticketed for failing to maintain a smoke alarm in operating condition. The ticket carries a fine of $360. 

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at the residence shortly after 4 am on January 13. The fire was confined to the kitchen of the home and was quickly extinguished.
