Draft Corporate Strategic Plan Now Available for Public Review

May 26, 2015 - A draft of the 2015-2018 Corporate Strategic Plan is now available for citizens to review until June 4.
The plan will outline City Council's priorities and initiatives for the next four years and beyond. The City's Strategic Plan guides the actions of Council and Administration, and citizen input is critical in helping to shape this Plan.
Hard copies will also be available for review at City Hall and all four Public Library locations.

Harbour Expressway Repaving Delayed Again

May 26, 2015 - The start of the resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road has been delayed due to an equipment malfunction.
The contractor in charge of the project noticed the issue during routine maintenance on Tuesday, May 26.
The exact start date of the work is unknown at this time; the City will notify the public when the work has been rescheduled.

Join Community Celebration as Pan Am Games Torch Relay Arrives

May 22, 2015 - The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay, presented by President's Choice and OLG, is coming to Thunder Bay on Sunday, May 31. A free Community Celebration, including a pancake breakfast and interactive displays and activities, will be held at City Hall to welcome the torch. Citizens are encouraged to attend.
The free pancake breakfast begins at 8 am at City Hall, followed by a variety of activities for all ages.

Portion of Boulevard Lake Multi-Use Trail Closed

May 26, 2015 – A portion of the walking trail around Boulevard Lake is closed to the public effective May 26.
The section of trail is on the southwest side of the lake, near the intersection of Lyon Boulevard and Arundel Street. Cracks have developed in the trail’s asphalt surface. The trail was constructed last fall, and the consulting engineers who designed and oversaw the project are currently conducting an assessment.

Harbour Expressway Repaving Delayed Due to Weather

May 25, 2015 - The start of the resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road has been delayed due to a forecast of rain and will now begin on Wednesday, May 27.
The work was initially scheduled to begin on May 25. No road closures will take place until Wednesday, after the forecasted storm has passed through the City.
