Compost Available Starting May 25

May 20, 2015 - Compost will be available to all residents at no charge while quantities last, weather permitting, beginning on Monday, May 25.
The pick-up area is located just east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation at the compost pick-up area are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Harbour Expressway Repaving Begins May 25

May 21, 2015 - Resurfacing of the Harbour Expressway between Highway 11/17 and Golf Links Road will begin on Monday, May 25 and last approximately four weeks.
Work on the Harbour Expressway will proceed in three stages. During stage one, which begins Monday, traffic movements will be permitted in an easterly direction only (i.e., travelling from Highway 11/17 to Golf Links Road), with all westbound lanes closed. This stage is expected to take two weeks to complete.

May 22, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging residents of all ages to take part in the 35th annual Kite Festival at Chippewa Park this Sunday, May 24.

May 20, 2015 - In recognition of the outstanding accomplishments of a native son of Thunder Bay and great ambassador of our City, Mayor Keith Hobbs proclaims May 20 Paul Shaffer Day in Thunder Bay.
