'AA-' Credit Rating Affirmed on Exceptional Liquidity & Low Debt Burden

Fire Suppression Efforts Continue at Great West Timber Site

June 18, 2015 - Thunder Bay Fire Rescue (TBFR) crews are continuing suppression efforts at the Great West Timber site fire. Two pumpers remain at the scene. There are no injuries to be reported at this time. It is anticipated suppression efforts will continue today and could take as long as Friday to fully suppress hot spots and secure the site.

Intersection of Arthur and Edward to Close this Week

June 17, 2015 - The ongoing reconstruction project on Arthur Street will require the closure of the intersection of Arthur and Edward streets for several hours at a time, from Thursday, June 18 to Saturday, June 20.
On Thursday, the intersection will close at 9 am for milling, which is the removal of the old top lift of asphalt in preparation for repaving. The work is expected to last about three hours.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Battling Significant Blaze at Great West Timber Site

June 17, 2015 - Thunder Bay Rescue is currently battling a significant fire at the former Great West Timber site. Six pumper trucks as well as two aerial ladder trucks are on site battling the blaze.
"Due to the potential for heavy smoke, we're asking people to avoid the area if possible to be cautious while Fire crews work to suppress the fire," said Deputy Chief Greg Hankkio from the scene."

Waterfront Splash Pad Opens on June 22

June 17, 2015 – The Splash Pad and Water Garden Pavilion at Prince Arthur’s Landing will open for the season on Monday, June 22 at 11 am.
The state-of-the-art splash pad will be open daily from 11 am to 9 pm throughout the summer. The adjoining Water Garden Pavilion – which includes change areas and public restrooms – will also be open 11 am – 9 pm daily.
