William Street Bridge Will Close June 12 for Completion of Repairs

William Street between Balmoral Street and Golf Links Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, June 12 as crews complete necessary repair work on the William Street bridge. Local traffic will be permitted.

The work and the resulting closure are expected to last five days.

During working hours, the section of multi-use trail beneath the bridge will also be closed. 

Motorists are asked to obey the construction signs, and drive with caution in the area.

Intergenerational Programming Restarts at Pioneer Ridge

The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to reinstate the Intergenerational Programming that occurs between the residents of Pioneer Ridge Long Term Care and the Grace Remus Child Care Centre which operates on site.

City Parks Facilities Kick Off Summer Operations

Summer in Thunder Bay has officially kicked off with the opening of City campgrounds and amusement rides.

Tent sites, RV sites and cabins are now available to rent as the campgrounds at Trowbridge Falls and Chippewa Park open for the camping season today.

Northwest Senior Games Return to Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre

The Northwest Senior Games will return to the Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre at 700 River Street this coming week, for the first time since 2019.
