Jane’s Walk Festival Celebrates Safe, Inclusive Neighbourhoods

Thunder Bay residents will take to the streets this weekend to participate in Thunder Bay’s 9th Annual Jane’s Walk Festival. Local volunteers will be leading eight free neighbourhood walks that will inspire citizens to get to better know our city and each other. Youth Arts Week Activities Announced

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to host a Youth Arts Showcase, presented by Ontario Power Generation, in celebration of National Youth Arts Week, which occurs together with National Youth Week May 1 - 7 every year. The City of Thunder Bay kicks off National Youth Week with an official proclamation at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School today. The City’s Engineering Division concluded its traffic study in the area of the proposed roundabout at Victoria Avenue and Ford Street. Based on the results of the study, a roundabout is not recommended.

Designated Truck Route By-law Deferred to Future Meeting Date

The Designated Truck Route By-law scheduled to go before City Council on Monday, April 29, has been withdrawn, to be rescheduled to a later date. Any deputations relating to this by-law will be rescheduled with the by-law. 

It was recommended by Committee of the Whole that the by-law be deferred to a date when all of City Council will be present. The new date will be communicated to the public once set.
