City Assessing Service Impacts of New Vaccination Certificates

The Government of Ontario has announced the requirement for proof of vaccination certificates in specific settings such as restaurants, bars, sport and fitness recreational facilities, and event space among others across the province effective Sept. 22.

The City of Thunder Bay’s central “Dispatch” phone number, 625-2195, which was out of service earlier today, has now been restored to working order.
Residents can report issues with roads, waste, traffic signals, street lighting, street signs, trees, sewer and water via this number, or by visiting our Report a Problem page.

City’s Dispatch Telephone Network Down – Repairs Under Way

The City of Thunder Bay’s central “Dispatch” phone number, 625-2195, is currently out of service, due to a malfunction of its Centrex network.
Tbaytel is working to resolve the issue.

Busy Road Work Season Continues

The City of Thunder Bay is investing $32 million in 2021 on road and sidewalk rehabilitation, residential paving, sanitary and storm sewers, watermain repair/replacement, bridge and culvert work, and streetlight renewal.
Road work can result in road closures, detours and delays for drivers. All local motorists, cyclists and pedestrian are reminded to be alert, watch for workers and drive with extra care in construction zones.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Lifts Fire Ban

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue has lifted the City wide fire ban that was previously in place, consistent with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests lifting the Restricted Fire Zone declaration.
Fire Stations are open to the public in limited capacity due to Covid-19, so residents are still encouraged to renew and/or apply online. New permit applications require an inspection by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue personnel, and those inspections will be completed as soon as possible. All valid outdoor...
