COVID-19: Some In-Person Service Resumes at City Hall and Victoriaville

Thunder Bay City Hall and the Victoriaville Civic Centre will reopen to the public for select, in-person services starting on Monday, Dec. 6. These buildings have had limited in-person service since March 24, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Citizens Encouraged to Help Guide EarthCare’s Sustainability Plan

EarthCare Thunder Bay invites citizens to get involved and have their say on the renewal of the Sustainability Plan. The Plan is a guiding document which aims to address issues of community sustainability, climate adaptation, and greenhouse gas reduction.

Water Main Repair Closes Section of Harbour Expressway

Harbour Expressway, between Fort William Road and Memorial Avenue, is currently closed to all eastbound traffic, including turning lanes, due to a water main break.
The water main break is at the intersection of the Harbour Expressway and Fort William Road.
Motorists are asked to plan an alternative route, to drive with caution, and obey all signage in the area of the road closure.

Local Artists Turn City Traffic Signal Boxes into Works of Art

The first in a series of twelve vinyl-wrapped traffic signal boxes have recently been installed in the city. Designed by local artists, residents will notice the added colour at intersections starting with artist Ryan Newman’s work, entitled Makwa (Bear) and Floral, on display at the intersections of Oliver Road and Sanders Drive and Arthur Street and James Street.

Prince Arthur’s Landing Skate Pad Opens Nov. 28

The skate pad at Prince Arthur's Landing will officially open on Sunday, Nov. 28, operating daily from 12 pm to 9 pm. Residents and visitors of all ages and abilities are welcome to enjoy skating at the waterfront throughout the winter months.
