The people of Thunder Bay are encouraged to take part in an online survey to share their views on the Vickers Park Skating Trail.
The Skating Trail was created on a trial basis for the 2021 - 2022 winter skating season. The Parks & Open Spaces Section would like your feedback on this first year of the Skating Trail, if it should be continued in future years and if it should be improved upon.

City Hall and Council Chambers Reopening to the Public

Thunder Bay City Hall will re-open to the public on Monday, March 21, 2022 after exclusively offering limited, in-person service since the start of 2022 due to the Omicron surge.
Public service counters will now be open during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30 pm. Appointments are still encouraged for all services.

Section of Rosslyn Road to Close Tomorrow to Through Traffic

Rosslyn Road, between 20th Side Road and Pomona Drive, will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, March 9, for underground infrastructure installation.
Crews expect to be completed by the end of the day Wednesday, but weather conditions and other factors may impact project timelines.
Motorists are asked to obey the construction signs, drive with caution, and use alternate routes around the construction zone.

Province Enters Roadmap Exit Stage March 1

Effective March 1, Ontario will be at the Roadmap Exit Step, further easing public health measures including lifting capacity limits in all remaining indoor public settings and proof of vaccination requirements.
Masking requirements will remain in place at this time, with a specific timeline to lift this measure to be communicated at a later date.
