Mayor's Mulligan Returns in New Format to Support PRO Kids

The 16th Annual Mayor’s Mulligan will run as a special Putting Edition this year in support of PRO Kids. The annual event, which has cumulatively raised $208,500 to date, will be offered in a different format to accommodate the current COVID-19 climate.

Two City Splash Pads to Remain Open until Labour Day

To allow children to take full advantage of the mild summer weather and delayed school start, two of the City’s splash pads, at the North End Recreation Centre and at Franklin Park, will remain open up to and including Labour Day, Sept. 7. In addition, the County Park splash pad will operate until Sunday, Aug. 30, at which time it will close for the end of summer.

The City of Thunder Bay is investing $18 million in 2020, on road and sidewalk rehabilitation, residential paving, sanitary and storm sewers, watermain repair/replacement, bridge and culvert work, and streetlight renewal.

Today, the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) hosted an outdoor event to celebrate the success of 32 foreign skilled workers who have received a community recommendation through the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).
