January 29, 2015 - Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, Tbaytel and the Lakehead University Thunderwolves have again partnered to release limited edition hockey cards of this year's varsity hockey team that highlight fire safety messaging.
"Fire and life safety education is one of our top priorites," said Thunder Bay Fire Rescue's Public Education Officer Anthony Stokaluk. "These cards allow us to spread our fire safety messages in a fun and unique way."
The player cards will be released to fans in attendance at the Thunderwolves' Jan. 30 Home Game at the Fort William Gardens. Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and players from the Thunderwolves have also been attending a number of elementary schools and minor hockey events promoting fire safety and distributing the new cards.
"The Lakehead Thunderwolves would like to extend a huge thank you to Tbaytel and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue for making these hockey cards a reality," said Lakehead Thunderwolves' Varsity Hockey Executive Director Jason Mallon. "Tbaytel is such a tremendous supporter of our community and this could not have happened without their support. Our players really look forward to the school visits promoting fire safety and interacting with the students and seeing the fans enjoy their cards."
