May 19, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay is proud to announce the 37th Annual Kite Festival presented by Ontario Power Generation. The City's annual celebration of flight is back at Chippewa Park on Sunday, June 4, from 12 - 4 pm. Families are invited to fly their own kites, watch the pro fliers take over the sky with giant kites, and learn about different forms of flight. Event admission is free. Rides and bouncy castles will also be available for a fee, and food concessions will be onsite.
"The Kite Festival is an exciting event we host each year to delight families while educating them more about flight," said Ashley Young, Cultural Development Supervisor. "In addition to kite flying, there are also lots of interactive activities taking place. We encourage everyone to come out and get involved.
