Bike lanes are officially open in Thunder Bay, with the completion of street sweeping along the City’s bike lane network.

On-street parking restrictions affecting designated bike lanes will now be enforced. The City reminds drivers not to obstruct bike lanes with their vehicles, to help keep our roadways safe for all travelers.

With the warming weather, more people will be using Thunder Bay’s active transportation network, which includes over 42 kilometres of bike lanes and shared lanes, and more than 56 kilometres of multi-use trails.

Drivers are urged to be aware and mindful of riders and share the road by slowing down and moving over for bikes.
