November 9, 2017 -They came, they saw and they most certainly conquered. Conquer the Tower returned this Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Canada Games Complex. The annual fundraiser had brave local participants jumping off the diving platforms in support of PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.
Participants are nominated by an employer, coworker or friend to jump from one of the Canada Games Complex platforms based on their level of funds raised. In order to jump from the top 10m Tower, $1000 in pledges must be raised. 15 brave participants were up to the task this year.
Through generous sponsorships and participant pledges, Conquer the Tower raised an amazing $26,948 this year, bringing the events running total to $133,962 .
Levaero Aviation returned for the second year as Conquer the Tower's presenting sponsor. Robert Arnone, CEO and President of Levaero Aviation, is a strong supporter of PRO Kids. "PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club provide a treasured service to youth and families in our community," said Robert Arnone. "Our youth represent our future. No matter what activities our youth select, it is those activities that build character and teach and develop analytical and strategic thinking skills. As parents, teachers, siblings, coaches, community leaders or business leaders, we not only owe it to our children, we owe it to ourselves to ensure that our children are afforded every opportunity to grow and succeed".
PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club are thrilled with Conquer the Tower's continued success over the years. Both organizations would like to thank all of the sponsors, participants, donors and volunteers who made this year's event another one for the books.
