March 11, 2016 - The City of Thunder Bay is inviting musicians, dance groups, children's entertainers and other stage performance acts to apply to perform at the City's annual summer events.
Performance opportunities include over 14 event days, including two major single-day events and two event series. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees.
Events to apply for include:
- Canada Day (4 stages): Friday, July 1, evening - approx. 20,000 attendees
- Teddy Bears Picnic: Tuesday, July 12, afternoon - approx. 4,000 attendees
- Live on the Waterfront (Summer in the Parks): July 6 to Aug. 24 (Wednesday evenings) - approx. 3,000 attendees/week
- City Hall Sounds: Aug. 4 to Aug. 25 (Thursday lunch hours) - approx. 200 attendees/week
