On Sept. 19, the province amended Ontario Regulation 364/20 to reduce the number of people allowed to gather at indoor organized public events from 50 people to 10 people.
“City Council and Ward meetings are not exempt from these limits, and must adhere to the 10 person limit,” said Krista Power, City Clerk. “In-person ward meetings that were recently scheduled for the Northwood and McKellar Wards have been cancelled.”
All upcoming ward meetings will now be held in an online/virtual format, including:
- Northwood Ward – Wednesday, Sept. 30 (7 - 8:30 pm)
- McKellar Ward – Wednesday, Oct. 8 (7 - 8:30 pm)
Virtual ward meetings will be aired on Shaw TV Cable 10, Tbaytel TV Channel 110 and streamed online at: thunderbay.ca/watchcouncil
Questions for City Councillors can submitted prior to the meeting by sending an email to OfficeoftheCityClerk@thunderbay.ca or calling 625-2230, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Questions received by 4 pm the day of the ward meeting will be included in the meeting.
All questions, including those unanswerd during the meeting, will be included in the ward meeting minutes. More information regarding public participation will be available in the coming days.
