The City of Thunder Bay announces the return of Quest, the annual tech and gaming event, taking place from April 30 – May 2. The event will be virtual this year, and includes esports tournaments and tech-related educational workshops and programming.

“This virtual event will allow youth to connect with one another safely,” said Louisa Costanzo – Supervisor, Cultural Development & Events. “We are excited to offer games like Among Us, which has received national attention during the pandemic because it allows players a platform for safe socialization.”

The City is working with ‘We Got Game!’ and partnering with the Youth Inclusion Program to present the three day tournament that includes the games Among Us, Fortnite and Rocket League. The games for this year's event were chosen for their social element.

Tournament entry fees are $5/player for the Fortnite and Rocket League tournaments, and free for the Among Us tournament. The event also includes tech-related educational elements like coding, and all games will be broadcast through Twitch.

There are great prizes to be won in all tournaments. Deadline for players to register is Thursday, April 29 at 5 pm. Tournaments are open to everyone, of all skill levels. For more information, links to Twitch, and to register for a tournament, visit our Quest: Tech & Gaming Event page.
