April 30, 2018 - The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to host a Youth Arts Showcase, presented by Ontario Power Generation, in celebration of National Youth Arts Week.  

Youth Arts Week is a national celebration of the positive contribution youth make to their communities through their talents, ideas and the arts.

Thunder Bay's Youth Arts Week will include a Youth Art Show and Youth Music Showcase featuring some of Thunder Bay's most talented and artistic youth alongside Youth Move's Youth Week Activities at the Kinsmen Centre on James Street.
  
The City invited submissions from youth across the City to enter artwork to be displayed at the Youth Art Show taking place from Tuesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 5 at the Kinsmen Northwood Centre. The opening for the show will feature live music by Matt Sellick and will take place May 1 from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at the Kinsmen Centre.

Youth Arts Week will also include a Youth Music Showcase that will feature Visual Past, one of Thunder Bay's best up and coming rock bands, DJ Rawlins, a 10-year-old sensation, and Ben Murray aka PlanBStrike9. A Jury Prize and a People's Choice Prize for the Youth Art Show will be announced at the Music Showcase, which will be held outside at the Kinsmen Centre on Friday, May 4 at 7 pm.

Youth Art Show Opening - Tuesday, May 1, 4:30 pm to 6 pm
Youth Art Show - Tuesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 5 
Gallery Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 9 pm | Saturday 1 pm to 5 pm
Youth Music Showcase - Friday, May 4, 7 pm to 8:30 pm
