The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging the community to show their appreciation for their neighbourhood crossing guards during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, which runs June 3 to 7.
"The Crossing Guard program is a vital part of our community," said Michelle Riemer, Field Supervisor – Crossing Guards. “Crossing Guard Appreciation Week is an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable service and dedication of our local crossing guards. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for fostering a culture of safety in our community, one safe crossing at a time."
Help us recognize the dedicated individuals in our community who work in all kinds of weather to help young people stay safe on their daily commutes to and from school. Residents can download fillable thank you card designs from the City’s website by visiting thunderbay.ca/crossingguards.
