The City of Thunder Bay has released its 2024 Drinking Water Quality Annual Report, covering water quality results from January 1 to December 31, 2024. This report is prepared in accordance with Ontario’s Drinking Water System Regulation (O. Reg. 170/03) under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002.

The report provides an overview of how the City treats and delivers safe drinking water, as well as tips on how residents can help protect water quality at home.

“Our water is monitored around the clock to ensure it meets strict safety standards. This report confirms the City of Thunder Bay continues to provide high-quality, safe drinking water,” said Michelle Warywoda, Director – Environment Division. “We encourage residents to read the report to learn more about where their water comes from and how it can be protected.”

The City remains committed to providing a safe, reliable, and sustainable water supply, which is essential for public health, fire protection, and the local economy – enhancing the quality of life in Thunder Bay.

  • Printed copies are available at the City Clerk’s Office (City Hall), the Environment Division (Victoriaville Civic Centre), all Thunder Bay Public Library branches, and the Bare Point Water Treatment Plant.
