January 22, 2018 - The City of Thunder Bay is seeking public input on its Stormwater Financing Study.

The study is being conducted in cooperation with the consulting firm AECOM, , and will review and recommend a sustainable and fair funding source to support the City's current stormwater management program and help achieve the future goals of the Stormwater Management Plan.

"The City is committed to environmental stewardship and community sustainability," said Aaron Ward - Project Engineer. "The City's Stormwater Management Plan recognizes those commitments and will help guide the City's stormwater management actions for the next 20 -years."

Conducting the study requires comprehensive input from the public. Residents are encouraged to share their views on the City's Stormwater Financing Plan by attending the drop-in Public Information Centre. It takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 4 - 8 pm, with presentations taking place at 5 pm and 7 pm, at the Italian Cultural Centre.

During the Public Information Centre, the public will able to learn more about what stormwater is and the Stormwater Management Plan; how the City currently funds stormwater works and options being considered for additional funding; and to view the presentation, ask questions of the project team and provide feedback through a survey.
