The City of Thunder Bay is seeking public feedback on Thunder Bay Fire Rescue services through public survey, as part of the process to update the Asset Management Plan.

The Asset Management Plan helps the City make informed decisions about service delivery related to infrastructure and assets. To support this, the City is conducting a series of short surveys to gather feedback regarding City services. The information gathered in the surveys will help identify areas for improvement and investment priorities and ensure that City services align with the expectations and requirements of residents.

“Collecting feedback from residents about what levels of service are expected from the City-owned infrastructure is a key step in developing the Asset Management Plan,” says Project Manager Amy Coomes. “This input allows us to gain a deeper understanding of people’s experiences, concerns, and needs, enabling us to manage infrastructure assets effectively, address community priorities, and plan for future service requirements.”

Residents are encouraged to participate in the Fire Rescue Services survey, which is open until the end of January 2025, by visiting: www.thunderbay.ca/getinvolved. Surveys covering Parks and Open Spaces, as well as Recreation and Culture, will remain open until the new year.

Survey responses are anonymous and each survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Results will be analyzed and used to guide updates to the Asset Management Plan, ensuring it reflects the community’s priorities.
