This summer's Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, will look different, but there will be no shortage of talent. With the COVID-19 restrictions, the popular weekly free series has moved from the Waterfront to virtual. Virtual Live will be presented every Wednesday from July 8 to August 26, at 7 pm.

The weekly virtual concert series will offer a variety of music genres while showcasing award-winning Canadian performers as well as local talent to help celebrate the City’s 50th Anniversary. You can catch local performers like Lockyer Boys, Cold Lake Sun and many more. This year's line-up kicks off with platinum-selling Canadian singer-songwriter, Jocelyn Alice. "There is something for everyone," said Louisa Costanzo, Supervisor, Cultural Development & Events. “Even though the format is different, the virtual concert series will still carry on the spirit of the event by celebrating music."

Art projects lead by artists of the Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (CAHEP) will also be featured between acts. Enjoy a different art activity each week.

This season's line-up includes R&B with Sharon Musgrave’s Soul Cake. A country night with Tenille Arts and more. The season will conclude with Polaris Award-Winning Haviah Mighty, a 26-year-old Toronto-based hip hop artist defying gender expectations within the hip hop genre. To catch these performances, tune in to www.thunderbay.ca/live every Wednesday at 7 pm.
