In response to the Provincial Order prohibiting organized gatherings of more than five people, tonight’s Open Session of Committee of the Whole will be conducted largely by electronic participation.
Only the Chairs of Committee of the Whole and Council (Councillor Mark Bentz and Mayor Bill Mauro) will attend in person together with City Clerk Krista Power and City Manager Norm Gale and one other person for technical support. Councillors and other members of Administration will join by phone.
On March 23, City Council enacted new provisions for electronic participation to support the conduct of meetings by teleconference. Media have been advised that they cannot physically attend the meeting but can continue to access the meeting via our live stream, Shaw Cable and Tbaytel channels, with follow up questions directed to the Chairs or Administration through the City Clerk.
