The City of Thunder Bay and presenting sponsor Ontario Power Generation are excited to host Cris Derksen, an internationally respected Indigenous cellist and composer this week on Wednesday, July 13.

Cris Derksen will be hitting the stage at Live on the Waterfront at 8 pm with a unique style that braids the traditional and contemporary, weaving her classical background and Indigenous ancestry together with new-school electronics to create genre-defying music. Joining Cris Derksen will be Thunder Bay’s own Mood Indigo and Danielle Pollari.

Live on the Waterfront runs from 6 pm - 9 pm every Wednesday from July 13 to Aug. 31. There will be a special matinee performance on Aug. 17 at 1 pm. The Aug. 31 event will run from 7 pm - 10 pm and will be followed by a fireworks display.
